My child is ill - how do I report this?

If your child is not well and is unable to attend school please:

• Phone school on the very first day of absence. Please call between 8.30 and 9am.
• We log your call immediately and this then becomes an explained absence. We will therefore know that your child is safe and will not need to contact you to gain the reason for your child's absence. This will save the office staff valuable time.
• Please do not report absence by messaging the class teacher via Class Dojo. 

If your child has an infectious illness, please contact us immediately.  Some of our children are very vulnerable and have conditions where infection could cause a serious problem.  Our Administration Officer will give you informed advice when you ring and discussions about illnesses are confidential.  If in doubt visit your GP!

A very common infectious illness is sickness and diarrhoea. If your child is ill with this, please keep them off school for 48 hours following the last episode.
